Carpet

A carpet is essentially a textile floor cover that consists of an upper layer of embroidery attached to a more resilient backing. The upper layer, also dubbed pile, consists of twisted tuffs that undergo a heat treatment to maintain their structure. Carpets can be made of natural or synthetic fibers.
