Laminate refers to a multi-layered synthetic floor fused together via a lamination process. Also known in the United States as floating wood tile, laminate can mimic the appearance of wood or stone, thanks to the incorporated photographic layer. In addition to the aesthetic sheet, laminate features a clear protective layer as well as an inner coating typically made of melamine resin and fiberboard materials.
